Born June 14, 1931, in York, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy P. and Esther M. (Bolin) Neiderer. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.
Ruth enjoyed playing cards, game night with family, camping, boating, family outings and beach vacations.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Carl W. Hankey; Sons; Jody and Barry Ruhlman, Mike Hankey and Daughter, Robbin Long; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Brother Mark Neiderer, Sister, Gertrude (Sis) Krichten and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan and Pat.
A Mass with Father Joseph F. Gotwalt will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church located at 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, 17331 on Tuesday, June 8th at 3 PM; followed by a Memorial Reception in the church's Social Hall at 4:30PM Her final resting place will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Hanover. Interment will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 9:00am for those who cannot attend services on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to St. Josephs Catholic Church or the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
