Vance James Zinn, 4 of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born November 5, 2011 in Hanover, he was a son of James A., II and Candice R. (Wire) Zinn of Thomasville.
Vance was a loving son and big brother; he was a caring kid who would help someone else out before he would think of himself. Vance loved to be outside, playing with his tractor, and having Star Wars battles with his Pap, he dreamed of one day growing up to be a farmer. Vance was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Vance is survived by a little brother, Dylan Zinn of Thomasville; maternal grandparents, David and Judy Wire of Dover; paternal grandparents James and Mary Zinn of New Oxford, and many other loving extended family members.
Vance was preceded in death by his great grandfather Charles Wire.
A service to celebrate the life of Vance will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Pastor Jeff Deitrich officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Vance’s memory to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center 90 Hope Drive, A120 P.O. Box 852 Hershey, PA 17033-0852 or to Ronald McDonald House Charities Inc. 26345 Network Place Chicago, IL 60673-1263.
