William O. Dulling, 88, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at home.
Born March 14, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William E. and Margaret C. (Pueschel) Dulling. He was the loving husband of Lena Mae (Jacobs) Dulling with whom he shared over 65 years of marriage.
William was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.
William served his country proudly in the United States Army. He received the Legion of Merit Award, was part of the European Theater of Operations; earned two battle stars as well as an Army Commendation Medal.
William retired as the chief civil engineer from Andrews Air Force Base in 1988.
William was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Masonic Lodge No. 146 AF and AM, the Exchange Club of Hanover, the American Legion Post #114 of Hanover, PA, the Reserve Officers' Association, the NRA, and the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association.
William is survived by a son, James O. Dulling and his wife Sherry of Eldersburg, MD; two daughters, Nancy Keen of Frederick, MD and Tracy Bollinger and her husband Craig of Hanover, PA; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate and remember William will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Kathryn A. Schroeder officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with a Masonic Service held at 7:30 PM. An additional viewing will be held from 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
Full military honors will be provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William's memory to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
