Obituary

Beatrice A. Scott, 72, of Gettysburg, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, August 6, 2012 at her home.

Born February 8, 1940 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Jonas and Oneida Katherine (Rineamin) Lippy. Beatrice was the loving wife of Hurman Scott to whom she was married for 54 years.

Beatrice enjoyed doll collecting, gardening, canning, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband Hurman, Beatrice is survived by four children, Judy McGee and husband Larry of Weatherford, TX, Penny Opalka and husband Joseph of Gettysburg, PA, Dan Scott and wife Lori of Hanover, PA, and Edward Scott and wife Heike of Hereford, AZ; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Ruby Caskey of Chambersburg, PA, Treva McMaster of York, PA, Kenneth Lippy of McSherrystown, PA, Janet Trish of Spring Grove, PA, Donald Lippy of Littlestown, PA, Nancy Yoho of Hanover, PA and Linda Laughman of Hanover, PA.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Beatrice's life will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, with the Rev. Samuel Garrett officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

Serving as casketbearers will be Dan Scott, Edward Scott, Joseph Opalka, Matthew Kelch, Dusty Grimes, and John Isenberger.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Beatrice may be made to the Hospice Program of the Hanover and Spring Grove Visiting Nurse association, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
