Joyce L. Trish, 78, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born August 27, 1933 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Bertha (Mummert) Raubenstine. Joyce was the loving wife of John S. Trish to whom she was married for 56 years.
Joyce was employed by the former Victory Restaurant in Hanover as well as being a full time housewife.
She was a member of Paradius Church of God of Abbottstown where she was involved in the church ministry.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by three sons, Wade A. Trish and his wife, Tammy of Spring Grove, PA, Tony A. Trish and his wife, Lora, John A. Trish and his wife Cheryl of Abbottstown, PA, one daughter, Kathy A. Trish of Hanover, PA, six grandchildren, Shannon Trish and his wife, Cheryl of Spring Grove, PA, Lisa Trish of Sydney, Australia, T.J. Trish and his wife, Ashley of New Oxford, PA, Tanner Trish, Toby Trish both of Abbottstown, PA, Teairra Stokes of Hanover, PA, two step-grandchildren, Amanda Shanefelter of Hanover, PA, Autumn Shanefelter of Dover, PA, four great-grandchildren, Brooke Trish, Bristol Trish, Briana Trish and Josiah Stokes. Joyce was preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Fuhrman, Helena Frock and Mildred Raubenstine.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Joyce's life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, PA, with Brother Richard Chronister officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. The family will share memories and receive friends from 6" 8 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
Serving as casketbearers will be Wade A. Trish, Tony A. Trish, John A. Trish, Shannon Trish, T.J. Trish and Tanner Trish.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
