Obituary
William A. Harbaugh, Sr., 84, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born June 21, 1928 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur I. and Anna (Taylor) Harbaugh. William was the loving husband of Nova A. (Jones) Harbaugh to whom he was married for 53 years.
Mr. Harbaugh was a member of Baptist View Church in Forest Hill, MD.
William was a graduate of Dover High School and also completed two years of business school. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly during the Korean War.
He retired in 1989 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
In addition to his wife Nova, William is survived by his son, William A. Harbaugh, Jr. of Hanover, PA, his daughter, Sandra K. Hoke and her husband Edward of Glenville, PA, his two grandsons, Michael Hoke and Matthew Hoke both of Glenville, PA and his brother, Charles Harbaugh and his wife, Norma of York, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM, Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Fred Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM, Monday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist View Church, 2718 Sharon Road, PO Box 782, Forest Hill, MD, 21050 or to the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
Serving as casketbearers will be William A. Harbaugh, Jr., Edward Hoke, Michael Hoke, Matthew Hoke, William Quesinberry and John Ruger.
