Lena M. Reichart, 89 of Hanover was called to her heavenly eternal rest on Friday, July 24, 2015 at home. She was the loving wife for 65 years of the late Ralph C. Reichart, who died January 13, 2009.
Born June 9, 1926 in Hanover she was one of 12 children of the late Claude L. and Ellen (Rodgers) Auchey.
Lena was a member of Hanover First Church of God. She was also a member of the Hanover Elks Lodge #763 Ladies Auxiliary and the Hanover Mall Walkers. Lena enjoyed flower gardening, reading and baking.
Mrs. Reichart is survived by four children; Diane Malloy and her husband Francis of Temple Terrace, FL, Jeanne Hartman and her husband Eugene of Littlestown, Randy Reichart and his wife Debra of Hanover and Cynthia Freeland and her husband Tom of Atglen, PA; one brother, Dale Auchey of Mechanicsburg, PA; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and her long-time companion Luther “Paul” Pottorff of Hanover.
In addition to her husband and parents Lena was preceded in death by her siblings; Norman, Irvin, Claude, Fred, William, Richard and Robert Auchey, Thelma Auchey, Betty Glass and Pearl Resh.
A service to celebrate the life of Lena Reichart will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 30 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Pastor Jerry Shoap officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be Corey Reichart, Jeremy Reichart, Jason Zoski, Matthew Frankenfield, Timothy Hartman and Andrew Hartman.
