Helen May Warner, 83, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Hanover Hospital.
Born December 10, 1926, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Nettie R. (Shanebrook) Therit. Helen was the loving wife of C. Arthur Warner until his passing in October 1979. Together they shared 36 years of marriage.
Helen was an active member of Lohr's Memorial United Methodist Church, Lohr's Methodist Women, and the Pat Gallagher Memorial Bowling League.
She enjoyed baking pies, embroidery, yard work, bowling, attending the "Warner Family Reunions" and most especially spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Helen leaves behind six daughters, Joanne Kaltreider and husband, Robert, of East Berlin, Connie Hamilton, of Biglerville, Sally Haar and husband, Luther, of East Berlin, Deborah Boyce, of McSherrystown, Peggy Senft, of Hanover, and Brenda Wagaman and husband, Terry, also of Hanover; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and her sister, Dorothy Rice and husband, Melvin, of Spring Grove.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Edward Warner, her daughter, Barbara Jean Warner, and numerous brothers and sisters.
A service to celebrate and remember the life of Helen will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 29, 2010, at Lohr's Memorial United Methodist Church., 200 E. Middle Street, Hanover, with her Pastor, The Rev. Samuel Velez officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing and time to share memories with her family will be held from 9 AM until the time of service at the church.
The family respectfully requests memorial contributions in honor of Helen be made to Lohr's Memorial United Methodist Church, 200 E. Middle Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
Serving as casketbearers will be Chuck Anthony, Tony Auchey, Chad Warner, Doug Kaltreider, Ryan Senft, and Bryan Rice.
