Margaret L. Wentz, 93, of Hanover, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Hanover Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Calvin W. Wentz who died on November 14, 1994.
Born May 30, 1920 in Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Elizabeth (Marsh) Good.
Margaret was employed for several years at Black & Decker in Hampstead, MD. She cherished her faith in God and enjoyed spreading His word.
Surviving are her sons, Gerald Wentz and wife Hilary Gwynn, Owings Mills, MD and Glenn Wentz and companion Charlotte Wilfong, Hanover; grandchildren, Travis Wentz, Owings Mills, MD; Andy Lauer, Hanover and Kristie Wentz, Hanover; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, Walter Utz; Mary Bridendolph; Anna Long; John Good; Delta Hilker; Robert Good; Mildred Good; George Good; Paul Good; Ralph Good and Ruthetta Good.
A service to celebrate the life of Margaret L. Wentz will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA 17331 with Pastor Martin Kiggins officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
