Glenn L. Meckley, 82, of Glenville, PA, entered into God's eternal care Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his residence, with his family by his side.
Born March 19, 1933 in Hanover, PA, Glenn was the son of the late Clitus and Hilda (Krumrine) Meckley. He was the loving husband of Norma J. (Grimm) Meckley with whom he shared sixty-two years of marriage.
He retired after many years of being self-employed and the owner of Gabco Masonry.
Glenn attended Calvary Bible Church of Hanover. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his wife Norma, Glenn is survived by his sons, Brent Meckley of Glenville, PA, Allen Meckley of Hanover, PA, his grandsons, Jake Meckley, Luke Meckley, Jeremiah Meckley, his great-granddaughters, Brenna Meckley, Alanna Meckley, his brothers, Clitus Meckley, Earle Meckley both of Florida, his sisters, Helena Miller of Hanover, PA, Charlotte Dubs of Spring Grove, PA and Doris Cashman of Biglerville, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Elwood Meckley, Sterill Meckley, his sisters, Gladys Wildasin and Ruthanna Markel.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Glenn will be held 10 AM, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Rev. Dr. Chester V. Joines of Round Hill Evangelical Presbyterian Church officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
