Caroline Belle Little, 88, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2005 at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of John F. Little, Sr. who died Sept. 12, 1968. Born August 9th, 1917 in Uniontown, MD, she was a daughter of the late John Roswell and Edith H. (Shriner) Dubs.
Caroline was a graduate of New Windsor H. S., MD where she served as Vice President of the class of 1934. She and her husband John owned and operated the Silver Top Bottling Co. and J.F. Little Beer Distributor, Hanover. Later Mrs. Little was employed for a number of years with Cremer Florist, Hanover. She was also a member of the Church of God, Uniontown, MD.
Her survivors include five children; Richard F. Little, Sr., Hanover, Eleanor “Susie” Schreiber, New Oxford, Jim F. Little, New Oxford, Gary F. Little, Hanover and Linda K. Cuffley, Abbottstown, two step-daughters; Daryl E. Wolf, Hanover and June P. Berger, Tucson, AZ, 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John F. Little, Jr., a brother, John Roswell Dubs, Jr. and a granddaughter, Wendy Sue Little.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday from the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. William G. Mummert officiating. The viewing will be from 12 noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
