Vicki L. Byers, 54 of Hanover went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning May 30, 2012 at Transitions Health Care, Gettysburg.
She was born February 17, 1958 in Mt. Union, PA the daughter of the late Raymond Leroy and Helen Marie (Breon) Byers.
Vicki attended Bethel United Church of Christ, Spring Grove and Hanover Foursquare Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and watching television, especially reality T.V and game shows.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Judith Hahn and husband Eugene, Jefferson; David Byers and wife Vonnie, Missouri; Brenda Sowa and husband Luis, Santa Anna, CA; Janet Frey and husband Doug, Harrisburg; Cindy Byers, Rock Hill, SC and Michael Van Noy and companion Deb Black, Lemoyne and a niece and several nephews.
Vicki is also survived by her loving adopted mother, Naomi Wagner, Hanover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted father, Gary Wagner.
A service to celebrate the life of Vicki Byers will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Lou Ann Jones officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
