Naomi Dorothy “Gang” Wagner, 76, of Hanover passed peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Gary W. Wagner who died January 9, 2009.
She was born April 16, 1936 in Hanover the daughter of the late Raymond B. Sullivan and the late Dorothy B. (Zinn) Crolius.
Naomi was a caregiver and operated personal care homes in York and Adams counties for over 30 years. She was a member of Four Square Gospel Church, Hanover and enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family and friends. Naomi was very devotional and loved her Bible and her family. She especially enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners and whether there were two people or a hundred people, she made sure that everyone was fed.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy “Doris” Martin and her husband Ronnie of Hanover, Cynthia “Cindy” Hassinger and her husband Jeffrey of York and Tammy Sue Taylor of Bay Village, Ohio, sister, Margaret Leppo of McSherrystown, half- sister, Violet Cradock of Colorado, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her adopted daughter, Vicki Lee Byers who died May 30, 2012 and her great granddaughter, Caitlyn Kennedy who died February 27, 1999.
A service to celebrate the life of Naomi Wagner will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2 PM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Rev. Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
