Donald H. "Pete" Yingling, 76, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at home with his loving family by his side.
Born May 15, 1934, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert M. and Virginia Estelle (Costello) Yingling. Donald was the loving husband of Dorthea L. (Kagarise) Renoll Yingling to whom he was married for the past 10 years, and the late Janet E. (Bankert) Yingling who died October 25, 1994.
Donald worked for Cole Steel in York, PA for thirty years and then in the maintenance department for South Western School District before his retirement.
Donald was a member of Calvary Bible Church. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by five children, Steven M. Yingling of Greenwood, DE, Daniel R. Yingling and Christopher A. Yingling of Hanover, PA, Timothy L. Yingling of Bridgeville, DE and Donna M. Yingling of Dover, PA; six step-children, Melvin E. Renoll of Dover, PA, Christine S. Bloch of York, PA, Gregory L. Renoll and Ronald S. Renoll of Hanover, PA, Randy A. Renoll of Spring Grove, PA, and Alicia M. Hoover of York, PA; five grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-brother, Harold Yingling of Baltimore, MD; and two step-sisters. Donald was preceded in death by one step-brother, Richard Yingling.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Donald's life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor, the Rev. B. Michael Osladil officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, as well as from 10-11 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the church.
