Ivy R. Lemmon, 99, formerly of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford, PA.
Born March 18, 1914 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late C. Tilden and Lucy J. (Moul) Myers. Ivy was the loving wife of the late Ralph E. Lemmon, Sr. who died May 15, 1974.
Ivy was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA, a former member and president of the Hanover YWCA, a former board member and president of the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, and a member of the American Contract Bridge League.
Ivy was a Registered Nurse having served her country in the Army Nursing Corp during World War II. She practiced at Methodist Hospital and also the Hanover Hospital. Ivy was also a Real Estate Agent for many years.
Ivy enjoyed traveling, swimming, bridge, reading, knitting and spending time with her family.
Ivy is survived by one son, Ralph E. Lemmon and wife Jeanne of New Oxford, PA, two granddaughters, Donna Kale and husband Tony, Nicole Miles and husband Shawn, and four great grandchildren, Morgan, Ava, Lydia, and Raegan. She was preceded in death by one son, John Lemmon, four brothers, John Myers, Robert Myers, James Myers, Gerald Myers, and one sister, Mary Schriver.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
