Robert D. “Bob” Hale, 63, of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Barbara W. “Barb” (Reiblich) Hale, his wife of 37 years.
Born February 12, 1949, Robert was a son of Holise E. (Martin) Hale of Upperco, MD and the late John G. Hale.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed with Towne Pride Interiors, Hampstead, MD for 28 years. Bob attended Hanover First Church of God. He enjoyed camping in State Parks and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
In addition to his wife Barb, he is survived by their two children, Leann Starner and her husband Kevin, York Springs and Amy Brooks and her husband Jeremy, Spring Grove; two grandchildren, Ryan Brooks and Megan Starner; six siblings, Phyllis Goretsas, Hampstead, MD, Janet Martin, Manchester, MD, Arla Mae Martin, Hampstead, MD, Delmar Hale, Hampstead, MD, Gerald Hale, Manchester, MD and Darlene Ramsay, Glen Rock, PA.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hale will be held at 11am, Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Hanover First Church of God with Pastor Jerry Shoap officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at 1:45pm in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
