Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Shue, 90, of Hanover, PA entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Gettysburg Center.

Born January 13, 1923 in McSherrystown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Cora (Trimmer) Routson. Mary was the loving wife of the late Ira S. Shue who died September 11, 2009.

Mary was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, where she was an usher, a member of the golden age circle, a Sunday School Teacher, and a Pal Lunch Program Volunteer.

Mary is survived by two sons, David W. Shue and wife Susan, Michael R. Shue both of Hanover, PA, 5 grandchildren; Timothy Shue, Thomas Shue, Christopher Shue, Michael Shue, and Chad Shue, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Stanley Routson, Elsworth Routson, Raymond Routson, two sisters; Oneida Martz, Catherine Winand and one daughter-in-law; Donna Shue.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mary's life will be held 11 AM, Monday, August 5, 2013 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA, with her Pastor the Rev. Tina Minnich officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 to 11 AM, Monday, August 5, 2013 at the church.
