Cleason Levere "Whitey" Messinger, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, January 21, 2015 at his home.
Born August 20, 1929 in Abbottstown, PA, he was the son of the late David and Elsie M. (Markle) Messinger. Cleason was the loving husband of Geneva M. (Jones) Messinger with whom he shared over sixty-five years of marriage.
Whitey was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Littlestown, PA.
Whitey was a superintendent at Hostetter Construction in Hanover, PA for forty-five years. He was especially fond of and enjoyed his tractors.
In addition to his loving wife, Geneva, Whitey is survived by his brothers, Donald Messinger of New Oxford, PA, Earl Messinger of Littlestown, PA and Larry Messinger of Thomasville, PA; and his sister, Gladys Sterner of Hanover, PA., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ United Church of Christ, 131 Christ Church Road, Littlestown, PA 17340.
