Marion A. Cline, 98, of Hanover, PA and formerly of Old Greenwich, CT, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Brethren Home Community.
Born May 14, 1911 in Whitestown, IN, he was the son of the late Albert and Ethel (Hone) Cline. Marion was the loving husband of the late Lula G. (Blickenstaff) Cline who died June 27th, 2003.
Marion received his B.S. Degrees from both Wittenberg College and Perdue University. He received his Masters in Chemical Engineering from Perdue University as well. He was a Chemical Engineer for the Seagram's Company for over 35 years until his retirement.
Marion was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford, CT, where he was very active throughout his life. He was a member of the Civil War Roundtable in Stamford and was a Kentucky Colonel. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, the outdoors and gardening.
Marion is survived by two children, Marty A. Cline, Jr of Hanover, PA, Jeanne A. Kotowicz of Hanover, PA, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother Adrian Cline and one sister who died during childhood.
A service to celebrate and remember Marion's Life will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 -11 AM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the funeral home.
