John H. Geiman, 107, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born July 29, 1903 in Carroll County, MD, he was the son of the late Noah T. and Agnes A. (Lippy) Geiman. John was the loving husband of the late Romain (Wyand) Geiman who died September 17, 1996.
John was a lifelong avid member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, having served as treasurer for six years and in many other various capacities on different committees. He was an Assessor for the 4th Ward of the Borough of Hanover for 23 years, a member of the York County Assessors Association, having served as President for 10 years. He was a life member of the Hanover Republican Club, a life member of the Hanover Elks Lodge 763, and an instrutor of the Defensive Driver Training Course sponsored by the American Association of Retired Persons.
John retired from the Metropolitan Edison Company after 43 years of service as a Department Head.
John is survived by one son, Stephen D. Geiman and wife Patricia of Hagerstown, MD, one grandson, Todd S. Geiman and wife Bethany, one granddaughter, Collien M. Driscoll,four great grandchildren, Samuel and Chloe Geiman and Emily and Benjamin Driscoll, and numerous loving and supportive nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vesta L. Lawver, and two brothers, Floyd Geiman and Berly Geiman.
