Estella A. (Rebert) Zartman, age 97, of York, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Norman F. Zartman who passed away on November 29, 2011; together they shared over 68 years of marriage.
Estella was born in Hanover on September 16, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Lavere and Arlene (Feeser) Rebert. She worked for Naval Depot, Hanover Box Factory, Colton Heel Factory, and most recently McCroy Distribution and was the first woman inducted into the Industrial Management Club. Estella was also a member of Wellspring Wesleyan Church in Hanover, formerly Grace Wesleyan Church, and the Seyfert Camp Meeting. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and needlepoint.
Estella is survived by her children Terry Zartman and Darlene Ownes and husband Ken; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Rebert, Vivian Bortner, Shirley Bortner, and Dale Rebert. Estella was preceded in death by her daughters Kathleen Altland and Virginia Hoffman; and her brother Gerald Rebert.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Estella’s life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00AM Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Rev. Dawn Glatfelter and Rev. Ethan Levengood officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover. Viewings will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and on Friday from 9:00AM – 10:00AM both at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Estella’s memory may be made to Seyfert Camp Meeting, 3970 Main St., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
