Clinton R. Zepp, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, October 29, 2012 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born December 24, 1925 in Hanover, PA, Clinton was the son of Clinton E. and May (Gobrecht) Zepp. Clinton was the loving husband of Jackie Dolores (Sanders) Zepp with whom he shared sixty-one years of marriage.
Clinton was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, PA.
Clinton retired from Columbia Gas in 1990 after twenty-five years working as an equipment operator.
Clinton served his country proudly with the United States Navy during World War II, in the Pacific. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars, American Theater Campaign medal, and the WWII Victory medal as well as good conduct medal.
Clinton was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to gospel concerts.
In addition to his wife, Clinton is survived by a son, Allen C. Zepp and wife Holly of Hanover, PA; five grandchildren, Jason A. Zepp and wife Rachael, Jeremy R. Zepp and fiancAC.e Laura Smith, Ashley D. Myers, Timothy A. Myers and Justin Myers; two great-grandchildren, Lana R. Zepp and Dylan J. Zepp; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Zepp; and three sisters, Myrtle Lippy, Helen Crook and Mildred Reaver.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Clinton's life will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Calvary Bible Church 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Michael Osladil officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the church.
Serving as casketbearers will be Jason Zepp, Jeremy Zepp, Tim Myers, James Bortner, Robert Lippy and Richard Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Clinton's memory to Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331, or to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
