Ethel M. Noble, 91, of Hanover, passed peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Stanley M. Noble who died April 13, 1980.
Born April 1, 1921 in Carroll County, MD, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Grace (Selby) Lansinger.
Ethel was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover. She retired from Sears Roebuck Co. after serving many years as a credit manager. Ethel enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and reading. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She especially loved going on weekly outings with family and friends. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she cherished spending time with her family.
Mrs. Noble is survived by three sons, Michael A. Noble and his wife Nancy, Salt Lake City, Utah, James A. Noble, Lexington, MD and Thomas S. Noble and his wife Dixie, Hanover, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Markle.
A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover with Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating.
