Joseph W. Fullerton, III, 72, of Hanover, passed away peacefully Friday, March 7, 2014 at York Hospital.
Born on Saturday, July 26, 1941 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Joseph Walter and Fannie Linda Stokes Fullerton. He was a graduate of Eichelberger High School and had received an Associates Degree at York College. Joe retired from the Department of the US Navy where he was a civil servant working in the Human Resources Division. He served with the US Army and took great pleasure in being a car enthusiast.
Survivors include his sister, Linda Prescaro and her husband, Robert, of Brea, CA; his nieces and nephews, Ann Garrison, Robert Prescaro, Jr., Joseph Prescaro, Susan Porter and Carolyn Frame; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and two special friends whom he considered children of his own, Vanessa Mahaney and Shawn Ambrosius.
The funeral will be held at 11am Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Kenneth S. Heasley officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 10 to 11 am Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
