Daryl C. Meckley, 54, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 26, 1961 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Burnell E. Meckley of Hanover and the late Janet L. (Folmer) Meckley. He was the loving husband of Sharon M. (Carbaugh) Meckley with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.
Daryl was a 1979 graduate of Hanover High School.
He was an employee of Utz Quality Foods, Inc. of Hanover for the past 29 years. During these years, he received many promotions. Most recently, he served as a marketing manager. One of Daryl's recognitions was receiving a 20 year safe driving award.
Mr. Meckley was a member of the New Hope Faith Community Church of Hanover. He was also a member of the Industrial Men's League at Hanover Bowling Centre.
In his spare time, Daryl enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing, playing softball and spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife Sharon and father Burnell, Daryl is survived by his daughters: Kari L. Eiker and her husband Jason of Gettysburg, PA, Laura A. Wagner and her husband Todd of Glenville, PA, Jessica L. LaRue and her husband Erik of East Berlin, PA, Kelly A. Livelsberger and her husband Doug of McSherrystown, PA, five grandchildren: Gabriella and Austin Wagner, Makenzie Eiker, Arabella and A.J. Livelsberger, and his sister, Lynnette K. Meckley of Hanover, PA. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Brenda L. Meckley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the New Hope Faith Community Church, 33 Sunday Drive, Hanover, PA with his pastor, the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA and from 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
