Robert E. Wildasin, 78, of Hanover, PA entered God’s Eternal Care, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the SpiriTrust Lutheran Village at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA.
Born November 12, 1944, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Roy H. and Hilda M. (Dressler) Wildasin. Robert was the loving husband of the late Mary (Bange) Wildasin who died December 18, 2018, and with whom he shared thirty-seven years of marriage.
Robert was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Robert retired in 2005, having worked for over thirty-six years at the P.H. Glatfelter Company, Spring Grove, PA.
Robert was a member of the West York Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to southern gospel, and country music.
Robert is survived by his sister, Janet Heiner & husband Theodore, III of Dover, PA; and his brother, Kenneth Wildasin of McSherrystown, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Wildasin and his wife Francis.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Robert’s life will be held 11 AM, Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Brandon Grady officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard will present military honors. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be from 9-11 AM, Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Utz Terrace, 2100 Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA 17331, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
