Obituary
YORK - Wanda B. (Cornog) Wooters, 81, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, April 21, 2008. She longed to be reunited with her late husband, Clarence W. Wooters, Sr. whom always made her feel like a Queen. She was born August 2, 1926, in Booth Corner, Delaware County to the late Ernest and Emma (Steward) Cornog. She moved from Greenridge, PA to, as she always said, "Last acre God put on earth", East Berlin in 1971. She worked many years for Scott paper and the Sun Valley School District in Delaware County before moving to this area. She also worked for Musselmans, Winter Gardens and Pfaltzgraff Pottery. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in York. Mrs. Wooters is survived by one loving son, William "Bill" Weaver and his wife, Sue of Brookhaven, PA; step-daughter, AnnaMae Hoffman and her husband, Larry; step-son Clarence Wooters, Jr. and his wife, Alicia; step-daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Hicks and her husband, Paul with whom she lived since 1986 due to her crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis. She also leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Barbara Staub and Christine Blevins; and a brother, Ernest Cornog, Jr. To anyone that knew her she was very loving and compassionate and when she spoke of her children or grandchildren she never used the word "step". They were just her children whom she loved very much. Private burial at the convenience of the family will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover with her pastor, the Rev. David Taualofai, assisting. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn State - Hershey Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 850, Hershey, PA 17033.
