Arlene Ianthia (Reichert) Rinehart, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Friday, August 19, 2011, at Homewood of Plum Creek, Hanover, PA.
Born November 2, 1923, in East Berlin, PA, she was the daughter of the late William G., Sr. and Mabert (Criswell) Reichert. Arlene was the loving wife of the late Fred A. Rinehart who died September 30, 2005. Arlene was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.
Arlene was a homemaker, and she also worked as seamstress from her home, as well as a seamstress for Hanover Manufacturing.
Arlene enjoyed spending time at Golden Visions of Hanover, and was a member of A.A.R.P. She also enjoyed playing bingo, cards, quilting and doing crafts.
Arlene is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Scheu and husband Jim of Spring Grove, PA, and
Donna M. Nelson and husband David of Hanover, PA; one grandson, Keith A. Nelson of Hanover, PA; one step grandchild, Christine Brantley of New Smyrna, FL; one great grandchild, Paxton Brantley; one brother, William G. Reichert, Jr. of Hanover, PA; and one sister, Macletta Dubs of Hanover, PA.
A service to celebrate and remember Arlene's life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with her pastor the Rev. Thomas H. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 AM -11 AM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's name to First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, or to Golden Visions of PA, 250 Fame Avenue, Suite 125, Hanover, PA 17331.
