Janet M. "Jenny" McDaniel, 77, died Friday, August 4, 2006, at Hanover Hospital. Born April 25, 1929, in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late William Biggs and Burnetta Celia (Utermahlen) Cole.
Jenny attended Harvest Time Temple, Hanover. As a young woman, she was employed at Bittinger's Canning Company, Hanover, and later with Cross Keys Motor Inn. What she enjoyed most in life was being a loving mother to her five children and being a devoted grandmother and greatgrandmother.
Her survivors include two daughters, Kathy Y. King of Landisville, and Karen L. Storm and her husband, Wayne of Hanover; three sons, Theodore P. McDaniel, Gregory L. McDaniel, and George W. McDaniel, all of Hanover; a sister, Margaret Bixler of Hanover; a brother, Carl Cole of Frizzleburg, Md.; a half brother, Oren Cole of Spring Grove; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Cole.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Fred Mummert officiating. The viewing will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
Pallbearers will be Theodore McDaniel, Jr., Luke Wells, Gary McWilliams, Ryan Bastress, Jason Reichart, Lawrence Storm, Jeffrey Storm, and Christopher Storm.
