Obituary
Claude Bernett Shoemaker, 85, of 401 Fourth St., Hanover, died Saturday at the Hanover General Hospital.
He was born in Adams County, a son of the late Harry and Mary Miller Shoemaker.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Snyder Shoemaker, two sons, Harold E. Shoemaker, of Hanover, Fred H. Shoemaker of Hanover, a daughter Mary Anne (Howard) Trite, Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover and had been employed at New Way Packing Machine Inc., for more than 25 years prior to retiring in 1969.
Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery, Hanover.
