Beatrice "Beatie" Loss

Beatrice “Beatie” (Godfrey) Loss, 92, of Dallastown, formerly of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Loss.
“Beatie” was born October 28, 1920 in Springfield Township and was a daughter of the late Myles H. and Erma D. (Kohler) Godfrey.
She is survived by her stepson, Joseph “Junior” E. Loss and his wife Ruth of Hanover; granddaughter, Vickie Little and her husband Dave of Hanover; great granddaughter, Stacey Krysiak and her husband Randy of Hanover, great grandson, Daniel Gruver and his wife Christina of Hanover; and 3 great-great grandchildren; Cole, Brookie, and Alexandra. She is also survived by her 3 sisters; Phyllis Flinchbaugh of Felton, Ruth Reisinger of Sagus, CA, and Lorna Huson and her husband Donald of Red Lion, 1 brother, Myles Godfrey, Jr. and his wife Jean of Dallastown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Zarfoss and 2 brothers, Mahlon Godfrey and Samuel Godfrey.
“Beatie” worked as a clerk in retail and was a former volunteer of the American Red Cross.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Dallastown and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Beatrice will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 205 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Rev. Dr. Christopher D. Rodkey officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to visit with the family will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date.
