Born on December 17, 1928 in Spring Grove, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Mabel Mae Ensor Klinedinst and wife of 49 years to the late Irl W. Trone, who died in 2007. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Klinedinst.
She sold Princess House for many years, and worked part time before her retirement by Cremer Florist and Pressell’s Florist. Active within the community, she was a member and Past President of the Lioness Club, a member and Past President of the YWCA Wives, and one of the first volunteers of the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center.
A lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, she was a devoted and constant support to family and friends. She enjoyed working in her garden, playing in card clubs, completing puzzles and testing her skill in dominos. She loved music and enjoyed listening and dancing to the sounds of big bands and had a vast collection of giraffes.
Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Klinedinst and his wife, Jo, of Hanover and Donald Klinedinst and his wife, Pat of York; a sister, Sylvia Born and her husband, Leonard of Des Moines, IA; an aunt, Myrtle Fick of New Oxford; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin and caregiver Penny Rostamali of Abbottstown.
The funeral will be held 11 am on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut Street, Hanover with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery with Donald Klinedinst, Jeff Klinedinst, Kenny Klinedinst, Terry Shearer, Brad Maloney and Hunter Shaw serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at a viewing held one hour prior to the service at the church.
