Obituary

Clifford R. Price, 87, of Spring Grove, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the home of his son. He was the husband of 59 years to the late Janet Lorraine (Shaffer) Price, who died April 1, 2010.

Born May 6, 1923 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Murray and Minnie (Rebert) Price.

Mr. Price faithfully attended Church of the Open Door, York. Mr. Price was a graduate of Eichelberger High School. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years and with Hanover Concrete for 46 years retiring in 2001. Clifford was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in both WW II and the Korean War.

Surviving is a son: Gary S. Price and his wife Robin C. , Spring Grove; two grandchildren; Carrie Price Iezzi and her husband Brian A., York; Jeremiah D. Price and his wife Michelle L. York, also two Great grandchildren: Bailey Price and Addison Iezzi.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clifford Price will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Robert Reidy officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be Carrie Iezzi, Jeremiah Price, Brian Iezzi, Robert Holweck, Anthony Iezzi and Ron Rush. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
