Lee C. Miller
( August 12, 1937 - May 28, 2018 )
Lee C. Miller, 80, of Hanover, passed
away, surrounded by his loving family,
on Monday, May 28, 2018 at York
Hospital. He was the loving husband
of Sue (Rickrode) Miller for 54 years.
Born August 12, 1937 in Hanover, he
was the son of the late Charles Carroll and Relda (Markle) Miller.
Lee served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1960-62 where he
was active with the pistol team. He was a life member of St. Matthew
Lutheran Church, Hanover and served on the church council, as a youth
advisor and on other church committees. Lee was also a volunteer for the
PAL lunch program. Lee was employed with Elsner Engineering,
Hanover for 44 ½ years retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, turkey
hunting, camping and playing tennis and was a life member of the NRA.
In addition to his wife Sue, Lee is survived by his daughters, Holly Miller
and her husband Todd of Glen Rock, PA and Loni Kamman and her
husband Louie of Gainesville, VA; and five grandchildren, Courtney
Miller, Lexi Kamman, Lilly Kamman, Lacey Kamman and Luke
Kamman.
A service to celebrate the life of Lee Miller will be held at 11am on
Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut St.,
Hanover, PA 17331 with Rev. Dr. Daniel Yeiser officiating. A time to
share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on
Thursday, May 31st, from 6 to 8pm at the Wetzel Funeral Home and
Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover and again on Friday from 10:30am
until the time of the service at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Following
the service there will be a bereavement luncheon at St. Matthew Lutheran
Church. Committal service and burial will take place at 2:00pm in Mt.
Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover.
