Frances Jane Zinn, 93, of New Oxford, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Brethren Home Nursing Center.
Born February 25, 1922 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Emma J. (Crawford) Zinn.
Frances graduated from Eichelberger High School, class of 1939. She worked for the Hanover Shoe Company for ten years, Waltersdorff Furniture for twenty-eight years, and the Hanover New Agency for twenty years.
Frances was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.
Frances was preceded in death by her brothers, George and Alvin Zinn; her infant sister, Martha Zinn, and sisters, Doris Heusner and Mary Groft. She is survived by two nieces, JoAnn Leonard and Jane Chronister; and two nephews, Donald Heusner and Dale Heusner; as well as a number of great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Frances will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories will be held from 10 - 11 AM, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA a the convenience of the family
Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Donald Heusner and Dale Heusner. Serving as casketbearers will be Steve Leonard, Mike Chronister, Joe Leonard, Michael Leonard, Dan Leonard, and Lee Chronister.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Frances to the Organ Fund at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
