Obituary for Mildred N. Snyder
Mildred N. Snyder, 95, formerly of McSherrystown, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Cross Keys Village—The Brethren Home Community.
Born on January 18, 1918 in Johnsville, MD, she was the only daughter of the late William and Mellie Smith Simpson and wife of the late Russell W. Snyder, who died in 1991.
She was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in McSherrystown and currently held her membership with St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had been employed by JC Penney Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1981 and enjoyed her membership with the AARP Hanover Chapter 2812.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth E. Snyder and his wife, Shirley of Hanover.
The funeral will be held 11 am Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Kirk A. Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
