Maybelle “Tootie” Wright Woodward, 86, of Gettysburg, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Gettysburg Hospital following at brief illness.
Born on May 13, 1926 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Agnes Runk Wright. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Nevin and Richard Wright and a sister, Roberta “Bobbie” McMaster. She lived in Hanover for many years with her sister, Katherine and nephew and his wife, Denny and Terri Morin, until recently, when she relocated to the Genesis Center in Gettysburg.
She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hanover and enjoyed writing music and completing puzzles. She had a special tenderness for infants, and in her later years, found comfort with her doll baby, Judy.
She is survived by her two sisters, Katherine “Teetie” Morin of Hanover and Judy Wright of Gettysburg; three brothers, Melvin Wright of Hanover, Donald Wright of Mechanicsburg and James Wright of Green Springs; and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
