June E. Mercer, 91 of Hanover, PA passed away with her family by her side, Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Mercer who died February 27, 1978.
Born June 14, 1920 in Burr Oak, MI, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Muriel (Fair) Lilly.
Mrs. Mercer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Friendly’s Restaurant, Hanover, Pa for 13 years. Prior she was a bookkeeper at Bibb Corp, Hanover, PA, Sturgis Harter Corp and Kirsch Company, Sturgis, MI. June was a hardworking woman and loved to read.
Surviving is a daughter: Nancy S. Jannotta and her husband Harvey, Hanover, PA; Grandson: Michael Jannotta and his wife Tracy, Chardon, OH; three great grandchildren: Garth and Emily Jannotta, Hanover, PA; Krista Jannotta and a step great grandchild: Kyle Grim, Chardon, OH.
A mass to celebrate the life of June E. Mercer, will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA 17331 with Rev. Fr. Joseph F. Gotwalt as celebrant. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
