Gladys R. “Sis” Leppo, 88, of Hanover, passed peacefully, Friday, June 03, 2011 at Hanover Hall. Born March 26, 1923 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Paul S., Sr. and Anna V. (Musselman) Leppo.
Gladys was a life long member of St. David’s United Church of Christ, Hanover. She was employed for more than 15 years with Bittinger’s Frozen Foods, Hanover prior to retiring. “Sis” was very fond of flowers and enjoyed watching T.V. Some of her favorite shows included Lawrence Welk, Hee Haw and many soap operas.
Her survivors include her brother, Paul S. Leppo, Jr. and his wife Bertha, New Oxford; her sister-in-law Esther Leppo, New Oxford; several nieces and nephews, Linda Sanders, Hanover, Lana Brenneman, York, Donna Gonzalez, York, Lynn Leppo, Philadelphia, John Leppo and Thomas Leppo, VA and Robert Leppo, New Oxford; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Gladys Leppo will be held at 11:00am Tuesday from the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Pastor Scott A. Sager officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be held Tuesday morning from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
