April 4, 1928 - April 17, 2015
Delsie I. Dell, 87 of New Oxford and formerly of Abbottstown, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of Melvin H. Dell who died July 5, 1991.
Born April 4, 1928 in Fort Wayne, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Lucinda (Sapp) Caulk.
Delsie attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Hanover. She faithfully read her bible every day. She enjoyed spending time at Golden Visions Adult Day Care, Hanover. Delsie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved getting together with her family.
Her survivors include her children; Melvin L. Dell and his wife Judy of Hanover, James M. Dell and his wife Deniece of Hanover, Larry L. Dell and his wife Jean of McSherrystown, Jerry G. Dell and his wife JoAnn of New Oxford, Linda I. Jones and her husband Larry of Hanover and Delsie J. Musselman and her husband Jim of Abbottstown; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Josephine Hawkins, Dorothy Caulk and twin brothers, Roy and Ray Caulk.
A service to celebrate the life of Delsie Dell will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, April 21 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, Pa with Rev. Gerry R. Dunlap officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
