Rev. David Addison Yingling, 75, of York passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Manor Care South York. He was the husband of Judy (Kuntz) Yingling. Rev. and Mrs. Yingling observed their 54th wedding anniversary on December 16, 2015.Pastor Yingling was born in Hanover on October 4, 1940 the son of the late Charles P. and Meriam (Masemer) Yingling. He was a 1958 graduate of Eichelberger High School of Hanover and a graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary. In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by a son Jeffrey, Roanoke, VA and his partner Michael, son Jonathan, Skillman, NJ and his wife Michelle, and daughter Jodi, York, PA; five grandchildren, Lindsey Yingling Gresock and husband Nick, Parker, Megan, Haley and Paige Yingling and a sister, Becky Gardner of Hanover, PA.He retired as the pastor of York First Church of the Brethren in 2005 and previously served as pastor of Central Church of the Brethren in Roanoke, VA for 20 years.He served as past president of the Roanoke Valley Ministers Association and was a member of the American, York Area and Roanoke Valley Rose Societies.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:30 am at the York First Church of the Brethren, 2710 Kingston Road, York, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Hubbell and the Rev. Cindy Lattimer. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the churchs Fellowship Hall. A private family burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hanover.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Theological Seminary, 615 National Road West, Richmond, IN 47374 or the BrightFocus Foundation in support of Alzheimers Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, PA 17403
