Michael R. Pratt, 68, of Abbottstown, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side.
Born January 5, 1946 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Riley and Gertrude Pratt.
Michael was 1963 graduate of McDonogh Military Academy in Owings Mills, MD, and a 1967 graduate of MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL.
Michael served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pratt retired after many years of service from C and J Clark, where he served as a Vice President. He was also the former Chairman of Hanover Capital Management, Inc.
Michael enjoyed the company of his family and friends and was also a former member of the Arcadian Social Club of Hanover, PA.
Michael is survived by his sons, Jeffrey S. Pratt and his wife Lisa of Abbottstown, PA, and Daniel F. Pratt and his wife Suzanne of King of Prussia, PA; three grandchildren, Amanda Pratt, Jaime Pratt and Ella Pratt; and a brother, Howard R. Pratt and his wife Sharon of La Jolla, CA.
Mr. Pratt was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA.
Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
