Obituary
Francis H. Livelsberger died Saturday, July 19, 2014. Born April 25, 1921, he was the husband of the late Louise Wentz Livelsberger who preceded him in death July 10, 2014 after 69 years of marriage.
Francis was the President of the Farmers Fire Insurance Company in York, PA, where he was employed for 50 years. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors until December 31, 2011.
During World War II he served as a Bombardier-Navigator in the 9th Air Force in the European theater, flying 43 missions, including two missions on D-Day. He received the Air Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Livelsberger Pratt Robinson and her husband Peter of Hanover; a son, F. Stephen Livelsberger and his wife Vivian of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
His four sisters, Amelia Young, Cecelia Keffer, Mary K. Livelsberger, Eileen Wagaman and one brother, Charles F. Livelsberger all preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Father Stephen Kelley officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:30 -2:30 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard will provide Military Honors
