Debbie Lou Laughman Memorial Video
Debbie Lou Laughman, 63, of York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Margaret E. Moul Home in York. She was the loving companion of John Strine, also of the Margaret E. Moul Home.
Born September 25, 1958 in Hanover, she was a daughter of Lester L. Laughman of Hampton and Betty A. (James) Posso of Gettysburg.
Debbie was a loving woman who cherished spending time with her family; she loved going out to eat, shopping and traveling. Debbie lived at the Margaret E. Moul Home since 1982 and had many cherished friends there; during her time there she enjoyed running businesses and convenience stores out of her room for the other residents and staff. Ms. Laughman also loved Scooby-Doo and had a vast collection of Scooby-Doo figurines.
In addition to her parents, Debbie is survived by, her siblings, Kathy McWilliams of East Berlin, Leslie Mateo of Hanover, Paul Masenheimer, III of East Berlin, Wealthy Grove and her husband Phillip of Abbottstown. Debbie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate the life of Debbie will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Faye C. Snyder officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret E. Moul Home, 2050 Barley Rd, York, PA 17408 or to St. Matthew Lutheran Church at the address listed above.
