Thomas David Livermore
August 12, 1970 - December 25, 2007
Thomas David Livermore, 37, of Hanover and formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo, UT. He was the husband of Julie Irene (Witmer) Livermore, of Hanover.
Born August 12, 1970, in Fort Riley, KS, he was the son of Marjorie Helen (Bunner) Livermore, of Provo, UT, and the late Eugene Martin Livermore.
Tom was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New Oxford, where he served as Home Teacher. He was an Assistant Ward Clerk for the Gettysburg Ward and, while in the York Second Ward, served as Sunday School Secretary. Tom also was called to serve an LDS mission in the San Bernardino, CA Mission.
Tom was a 1991 graduate of the Hanover Senior High School. He also attended the Hyrum G. Anderson School in Johnstown, PA. In his free time, Tom loved to collect model ships. He was always interested in antiques and was fascinated by the Civil War. Additionally, Tom admired Robin Williams and loved his movies.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sisters, Patty Tippetts of Columbia, MD, and Susie Gregory of Provo, UT; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene M. Livermore Jr.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1170 Kohler Mill Rd., New Oxford, with Bishop Marty Burton officiating. Viewing will be held between 10:00 and 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom’s memory.
The Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, is assisting the family with arrangements.
