Bradley Scott Neighoff
June 9, 1989 - May 4, 2015
Bradley Scott Neighoff, 25, of Merlin, Oregon formerly of Harmony, PA, passed away, Monday, May 4, 2015. He is survived by his parents John F. Neighoff, Jr. and Kimberly D. Neighoff, (nee Machlinski), his siblings Heather Davis and husband Matthew, Shannon Neighoff and significant other Brandt Rouse, and Zachary Neighoff; his grandparents John F. Neighoff, Sr., Marian Wolf, Dorothy Machlinski, and the late Raymond Machlinski, Sr.; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bradley was a 2007 graduate of Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, PA and had attended Penn State University.
Sgt. Bradley Neighoff was a Combat Engineer in the United States Army. His duty stations from 2007-2011 included: Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Bragg, and Heidelberg, Germany. He deployed with V Corps to Kabul, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. SGT Neighoff served as a Personal Detail Specialist with ISAF from 2009-2010. He received Joint Commendation and NATO medals for his service while deployed. Other awards include: Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Marksmanship Qual Badge-Sharpshooter with Rifle, and Driver and Mechanic Badge. Upon returning to Heidelberg he worked in the direct support of the Deputy Chief of Staff for USAREUR.
He enjoyed cars (especially his red Porches), building computers, gaming, Star Trek, collecting firearms, music, bowling, playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, history, science, farming and enjoying the outdoors.
He was living his dream in Southern Oregon as an owner/operator of Neighoff Family Farms.
His infectious love for adventure and seeking new experiences inspired everyone he met. Bradley’s “attitude and actions were a great inspiration,” he inspired others to “take life less seriously,” and “he taught those around him to live uninhibited, by his examples,” as stated by his friends. Bradley was truly an original; he found true happiness in all his adventures and lived his dreams fearlessly.
As stated by Bradley, “I’m moving forward, I have what it takes.”
The family will receive friends 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Mt.
