Obituary

Frances Joan Welty, 76, of Hanover passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Brethren Home, New Oxford. She was the loving wife of Harold Louis Welty of Hanover, her husband of 60 years.

She was born October 24, 1933 in Hanover the daughter of the late Harry L. and Anna Frances (Wollet) Mummert.

Frances was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Krug and her husband Kenneth, Jr. of Spring Grove; son, Scott Allen Welty of Hanover; sister, Betty Moul of Hanover; brothers, Harold C. Mummert of Hanover and Richard L. Mummert of Spring Grove; grandson, Anthony Rutters; step grandchildren, Kenneth Krug, III, Roy Krug and Ophelia Heltzel; five step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Phillip G. Mummert, Edward L. Mummert and Doris L. Deihl.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore Street, Hanover on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Garry Wilt and her nephew Rev. William Mummert officiating. Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover is assisting the family with their arrangements.
