Glenn A. Bartels, 90, of New Bloomfield, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his home.
Born April 22, 1931, in Mott, ND, he was the son of the late Milton H. and Ethel R. (Haines) Bartels. He was the husband of the late Anna (Palma) Bartels.
Glenn retired from Johnson & Johnson in North Brunswick, NJ after many years as a custodian. Prior, he worked at the Ford Motor Plant in Edison, NJ.
Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly in the Korean War. He was a former member of Evangel Chapel in Bridgewater, NJ and then Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown, PA.
Glenn is survived by his sons, David Bartels and wife Cheri of Harrisburg, PA, Daniel Bartels and wife Debbie of North, SC, Alton Bartels and wife Sonia of Rahway, NJ, Anthony Bartels, and wife Ann of New Bloomfield, PA, and Paul Bartels and wife Corbyn of Nixa, MO, a daughter-in-law Beth Bartels of Florida, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and two sisters, Goldie Mae Baker of North Dakota, and Myrtle Ruth LaMonte of Missouri. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn A. Bartels, Jr. and his brothers, Lloyd Sr, Kenneth, Merton, Gene, Stanley, and Arthur Bartels.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail will provide Military Honors.
