Douglas L. Dover, 44, of Hanover, PA died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Baltimore Veterans Medical Center.
Born November 13, 1968 in Amherst, OH, he was the son of Harriet A. (Lutz) Dover and the late Alfred L. Dover. Douglas was the husband of Lisa R. (Reed) Dover.
Doug was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S in Nursing.
Mr. Dover was a veteran of the United States Army having served as an Airborne Ranger. He worked at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore as a case manager for the last 7 years.
Doug enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, was an avid football fan and especially enjoyed being with his children.
In addition to his wife and mother, Doug is survived by two children, Jacob L. Dover and Alexis R. Dover, one brother, Richard Dover of Melrose, Fl, and four sisters, Sandy Dover of New Port Richey, FL, Patti Ashton of Perry, OH, Barbara Edmonds of Florence, KY and Sheryl Byerly of Lawrenceville, GA.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Doug's life will be held 1 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA, with the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard providing Military Honors.
