YORK- Dolores A. (Senter) Rodkey, 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Country Meadows of York. She was the wife of the late Carl M. Rodkey.
Burial will be private in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover, PA. A webcast of the service will be available by searching Dolores’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mrs. Rodkey was born in Harrisburg on July 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Boettger) Senter.
Mrs. Rodkey was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hanover, where she volunteered as the church’s bookkeeper. She was a 1949 graduate of Columbia High School, and served as a Girl Scout leader in her community. She enjoyed gardening and taking road trips to historic sites, especially Colonial Williamsburg, VA.
Mrs. Rodkey leaves a son, Mitchell S. Rodkey and his wife Linda of Dallastown; a daughter, Michelle K. Link and her husband Dr. Michael of Kissimmee, FL; six grandchildren; Benjamin Rodkey, Whitney Manderbach and her husband Joe, Brady Rodkey, Jake Link and his wife Samantha, Sam Link, and Hank Link; three step grandchildren, Jennie Kovacs and her husband Mike, Chris Link and his wife Kelly, and Sara Link, and one great-granddaughter, Mackenna Rae Rodkey. She was preceded in death by a son Michael C. Rodkey and a sister Joyce Eshleman and her husband Robert “Skip”.
